Being a lifelong sports fan with a curious mind about everything, AJ would sometimes question many of the decisions made by coaches in his favourite sports. One day, AJ read a book that confirmed his belief that most coaches may not be making the right decisions based on stats and other factors. This inspired an idea that led AJ to champion his good friend Chris as he realized the tremendous opportunity in front of them.

Together AJ and Chris set out on a journey to develop an algorithm that helps teams win more games. They eventually pivoted away from trying to optimize a team’s performance through in-game management, launching them into the Coach Off venture that uses their algorithm to engage fans in the coaching process. This idea led to the development of the Football Coach Off mobile app that allows fans to participate in sports in a much richer level than ever before.
